GREG MELICH is a Senior Managing Director, heads ISI’s Consumer Research Team, and is ISI’s Hardlines Analyst. Since 2005 he has been recognized as a leading hardlines retail analyst in multiple surveys including Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates, Bloomberg, and the Financial Times/StarMine. Greg was most recently ranked #1 in Institutional Investor for Retail Hardlines in 2012.
Prior to joining ISI in 2010, Greg spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley in consumer-related research. Over 7 years, he built Morgan Stanley's European auto research effort, and was ranked Institutional Investor #1 auto analyst for 3 of those years. He returned to the US in 2003 to head Morgan Stanley's Global Retail Research Team.
Greg graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1992 and is a CFA charterholder.
